Jim passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 athis home with his family by his side. Age 74 years. The son of thelate Guadalupe and Victoria (Elizondo) Garza was born November 27,1936 in Pearsall, Texas. He was a member of Bay Valley ChristianChurch and a long time member of In His Presence Church. Jim retiredfrom Saginaw Steering Gear. He served as the Pastor of OutdoorAdventure Campground in Standish, MI for twelve years. His ministryalso included visiting people in the hospital, nursing homes and jail.He also performed weddings and funeral services. Jim enjoyed spendingtime with his family, camping, fishing and bowling. He is survived byhis wife of fifty three years the former Dorothy M. Poole whom hemarried September 9, 1958. Also surviving are his children: Debra(Brian) Endline, James (Julie Diaz) Garza, Timothy (Pamela) Garza andJenny Delarosa; his grandchildren: Travis Endline, Felicia Endline,Ashley Garza, Amber Garza, Heather Scott, Todd Scott and Stephanie(Joseph) Platzer; one sister, Anita Longoria; his special nephews,Lupe (Bertha) Salinas and David (Sulema) Garcia; his special greatniece, Nora Maza and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to hisparents he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Valeria J.Garza; his grandson, Mitchell Endline; one brother, Jose "Joe" Garza;two sisters, Juana Salinas and Benita Garcia. The family would like toextend a special thank you to Julie Mistura who has helped the familythrough these difficult times, also to Heartland Health Care Rehab andHeartland Hospice for the kind and compassionate care that our lovedone need during his time of need. Funeral Services will take placeTuesday, November 29, 2011 at 12:00 o'clock Noon at In His PresenceChurch. Officiating will be Pastor Michael B. Baranek with intermentfollowing in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the GephartFuneral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Jim will be takento the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until thetime of services.
